Roberta Hall- McCarron is the Chef-Owner of The Little Chatroom in Edinburg, which she runs along with her husband.
Roberta’s cooking style is French technique influenced traditional Scottish dishes.
She had a love for food from a very young age. She started working at the age of 16, doing work experience.
After finishing school, she got a job at a restaurant and hasn’t looked back since.
Roberta has worked for one of the best chefs, Michelin starred Tom Kitchin, at The Kitchin and moved to Castle Terrace with Dominic Jack.
She worked as former chef de parties at The Kitchin for nine years before finally setting up her own venture, The Little Chatroom.
Great British Menu 2021
Great British Menu is a BBC television series where chefs from all around Britain compete for a chance to be the best in the country.
This is the 16th season of the show, and Roberta is representing Scotland in this season. She competed with three other chefs from Scotland for the opportunity to represent and won.
She has also competed in the show in the previous season but was not successful.
She won the Young British Foodies Award 2018.
She has also appeared on Great British Menu 2020, and the restaurant was ranked at 79th in the Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards 2020.
